PLANTS VS ZOMBIES GARDEN WARFARE RELEASE (Escapist News Now)
Today PopCap announced you'll be able to pick your side starting February 18th for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
The game will come with 10 maps and 3 different modes, two of which are competitive and 1 is co-op. There is a deathmatch like mode called Team Vanquish, a domination type called Gardens and Graveyards, lastly and a horde-type called Garden Ops. The game is built on Frost Bite 3, the same engine for Battlefield 4 and will support up to 24 players.
The game will cost $40 on next-gen and $30 on 360, and will have additional content updates in the future like maps and characters, but those will be free as PopCap doesn't want to block players from content behind a paywall.
You will be able to purchase in-game items like new weapons and customizations with in-game currency or you can buy the currency with real money.
PopCap said a PC version is in the works for a later date, but there is no word on if or when this game will ever come to PlayStation.
