CRANKY KONG JOINS DKC: TROPICAL FREEZE (Escapist News Now)
Cranky will join Diddy and Dixie Kong as a partner to Donkey Kong. In a very Scrooge McDuck fashion, Cranky uses his cane to bounce on dangerous objects, allowing him access to areas other characters cannot reach. If you play in single-player, Cranky will ride on Donkey Kong's back, or a second player can control him in co-op.
Nintendo showed an extensive gameplay demo of Tropical Freeze, the upcoming installment in the long running franchise which will launch on the Wii U on February 21st next year. The Kongs will battle the Snowmads, who have invaded and frozen over their islands. In addition to collecting as many bananas as possible there are new features like the ability to swim, and of course you can play the full game via the Wii U Game Pad.
