Reportedly, Volvo launched the V40 hatchback in India starting from Rs 24.75 lakh onwards. The car in its standard guise is quite distinct than its Cross Country version in terms of darkened front grille, air dam, alloy wheels and glass panoramic sunroof. In addition, one will also not find the plastic body cladding as well as high ride height to suit the segmentation of hatchbacks. Thus, the Swedish carmaker for India rolled out only two variants called as - Kinetic and R-Design, where each of them gets 147 horsepower from a D3 diesel engine.
In fact, Volvo as a big name in terms of car safety provided the V40 a number of unique features. But at the bottom, one cannot find number of this car rolling down our roads, because the maker is bound to import it directly from Belgium as CBU.
