Hindu farmer-pilgrims speak to camera about their pilgrimage: what makes them tick

These farmers undertake a most difficult journey. They walk to point that the Ganges enters the plains of north India, at Haridwar and fill containers with Ganga jal or water and carry these back to their homes in villages across north India, at the peak of the monsoon heat and humidity, walking all day and dripping perspiration in the humid weather... The power of faith, and a bit of stubborn obstinate will-power that keeps them going. Also a bit of rowdy over-enthusiasm, as far as the youngsters are concerned!
