Sugar factory in India

2015-06-17 2

This is how sugar is purified. Workers are filling the sacks and sealing to be send to the market for sale.

India is one of the major producers and exporters of sugarcane and its by-products. There are about 453 sugar mills in India owned by both the government and the private sector. The sugar consumption rate in India is also very high. This film documents how sugarcane becomes the sugar we eat. Here is a footage of how it is grinded in the machines and processed into sugar crystals, right from the sugar mill factories. From raw cut sugar cane to the factory in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, India, and into gunny sacks for sugar retail packaging.
