The Englishman and the Jamaican took on the Drone Down challenge as part of the build up to the Caribbean Premier League.
The premise was simple: take it in turns to hit a ball fire from a bowling machine at a drone hanging out in straight six territory.
The latest edition of the CPL begins on Sunday as Pietersen’s St Luicia Zouks take on Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel, owned by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan.
Gayle will turn out for the Jamaica Tallawahs.
