Mumbai - An eight-month-old baby girl weighing 15 kg has been diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder linked to obesity, in what is thought to be the first such case in the country. Reesha Ahmed - who needs to be fed every 15 minutes - weighed normal 3 kg when she was born to Shahista Naaz and Sameer Ahmed last year. But she rapidly gained weight because of congenital leptin deficiency, a condition that causes severe obesity among infants.
