Total recall costs for Honda for a faulty Takata airbag will be 325 million euros says Japan’s number three carmaker, which is maintaining its profit and dividend forecasts for the current business
year.

Airbag maker Takata is at the centre of a storm of tens of millions of the safety devices potentially at lethal risk because of faulty parts.

While revising figures to take into account the worsening effect of the recall Honda noted they would affect 2014’s figures, and that the company has built up ample reserves to take the hiccup in its stride.
