NASA: Galaxy Full Of Helium Planets

NASA says our galaxy is full of helium-based planets.

NASA researchers have found evidence that suggests our galaxy is home to thousands of exotic planets with helium atmospheres. 

Though none exists in our solar system, some of the planetary candidates are relatively close. 

The recent study was preceded by explorations into the whereabouts of celestial bodies known as warm-Neptunes.

Those are often characterized with staying close to their suns, being no bigger than size of our Neptune, and completing their orbits in the matter of a day or two. 

The team led by a NASA Hubble Fellow believes that a number of the many known warm-Neptunes have helium skies.
