The second EU-CELAC Summit has come to an end In Belgium after two days of meetings on strengthening social and economic ties between Latin America and Europe. The 61 leaders of both blocks released a final declaration in solidarity with Venezuela and in opposition to the U.S. blockade against Cuba. Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa spoke of the need to increase trade, but to do so with the purpose of furthering social development. The President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker announced investments of over US$800 billion in Latin American and the Caribbean. teleSUR
