As government leaders meet at the EU-CELAC Summit in Brussels, a parallel People’s Summit is bringing together social movement organizers from across the world who intend to share lessons from resistance struggles. The meeting sometimes referred to as an alternative to neoliberalism will look at the challenges of both regions to end poverty and the issues involved in sustainability development. The People’s Summit is also calling for an end to the blockade against Cuba and sanctions against Venezuela. teleSUR
