The International Air Transport Association has released new suggestions for in-cabin baggage size limits, and they’re about 20 percent smaller than the current norm.

Over the years, airline seats and services have noticeably shrunk, and it appears that carry-on luggage is the next reduction target.

For the most part, airlines have allowed bags and cases that measure up to 22 inches tall, 14 wide, and 9 inches deep to be stored in overhead compartments.
