Venezuela: Supreme Court Says Felipe Gonzalez Can´t Represent Opposit

Former Spanish Prime Minister Felipe Gonzalez will not be allowed to participate in the defense of Venezuelan opposition leaders. According to a ruling by the Supreme Court, González cannot act as a legal professional in the country because it would violate Venezuela’s laws for attorneys. Gonzalez arrived in Caracas on Sunday to help in the defense of imprisoned opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez and Caracas Mayor Antonio Ledezma. Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro has accused Gonzalez of meddling in the country’s politics. Gonzalez has expressed his disagreement with the Supreme Court decision. teleSUR.
