Ambato, Ecuador - The team led by Spaniard, Ricardo González defeated the team of Peru, 76-56, to begin the XXXIV South American Championship which takes place in Ambato (Ecuador) with a win. Ziomara Morrison was the highlight of the Chile team by scoring 24 points and taking 21 rebounds.
