Venezuela: Maduro Suggests Maradona for FIFA Presidency

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has suggested that the man to lead FIFA out of its current predicament may be Diego Maradona. His statement comes after FIFA’s top official Sepp Blatter announced that he will be resigning amid a multi-million dollar bribery and corruption scandal. A total of 14 other officials were named in an indictment announced last week. Maduro said that FIFA should be directed by the players themselves and suggested Maradona, “or someone like him” for the Presidency. teleSUR
