As part of the fallout from the ongoing FIFA corruption scandal, the international criminal police organization, Interpol, has issued red notices for three Argentine soccer officials. Interpol issues its red notices, an international wanted person alert, to inform member countries that a judiciary authority, in this case U.S. courts, has issued an arrest warrant and is seeking the location of the defendants with a view to extradition or similar lawful action. Argentine tax authorities said they would submit a formal request to the U.S courts for more information on the three suspects. Tax bureau chief Ricardo Echegaray said officials want to know if the alleged money laundering and tax evasion have affected Argentina. One of the companies in the spotlight, Torneos y Compencias, whose CEO Alejandro Burzaco is one of three suspects, is linked to vulture fund holdouts. Leonel Poblete reports from Buenos Aires. teleSUR
