BP Yadav – Head Weather Forecaster at IMD spoke exclusively to ET NOW about this year’s monsoon forecast. He says there is 66% probability of deficient rainfall this year and that IMD has cut its monsoon forecast to 88% of the long-period average. He adds that the July rainfall is seen at 92% of the long-period average and August’s is seen at 90%. North-west India is expected to be the worst hit according to the IMD.
