While Yemenis deal with the aftermath of airstrikes by Saudi-led coalition forces, the government in exile said the Houthi militia was in talks with the US in Oman, a sign that a diplomatic solution could be on the horizon.
If confirmed, the meeting would be the first between the Houthis and US since the start of the conflict.
The weekend raids struck an air base near Sana’a airport and a Houthi aligned military installation. One resident near the site of one of the airstrikes said that several bombardments were felt which led them to flee and left everyone in a state of shock.
On Saturday, dozens of Yemenis took part in a protest calling for an end to the Saudi-led airstrikes.
Nearly 2,000 people have been killed and over 8,000 wounded in the conflict since mid-March.
