Chilean students once again took to the streets on Thursday to demand educational reform and condemn police violence and repression against the movement. In Santiago police used water cannons to disperse the demonstration. To diffuse the protests, President Michele Bachelet has announced a reform proposal that would provide free education for the poor, a measure which would benefit 60% of the country's students. teleSUR
