In what can only be characterized as a serious escalation of the conflict, last night Israeli forces launched 19 air attacks on the Gaza Strip. No deaths were reported but property damage in the affected areas was significant. The air attacks came in response to the launching of a Palestinian rocket from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel.
