Greener and fairer? EU revamps Common Agricultural Policy

The EU's Common Agricultural Policy began operating in 1962 to achieve food security on the continent. Fifty years later, because the CAP swallows almost 40 percent of the EU budget, this policy is proving increasingly controversial. That's why the EU has launched a comprehensive reform of its flagship programme in a bid to make it greener and more efficient.
