Hot,Hot,Hot. That's how to describe the ride to Hatta, Fujeirah and back. This was Matthew and Sandra's first ride on a Harley. So, we had to make sure that we selected the right Harley for his introduction to the world's most popular motorcycle. They rode the Harley Super Glide with all the bells and whistles.
We left the Prestige Showroom at 8:00 am and stopped at Serge 's favorite sandwich shop to have an Egg Paratta...spicy! . When I asked Sandra if she wanted her sandwich bland or spicy, she replied: "what a silly question to ask" since her origins were from India.
We then rode using back roads through the desert and then riding on a new highway in the mountains till we reached the Hatta Fort hotel. There, we stopped for refreshments and added another coat of sunscreen. And off again riding on twisted mountain roads avoiding a few goats and donkeys occasionally near the roads.
Upon arrival at Bikers Cafe in Fujeirah, we stopped and had a great lunch and refreshments. And off again and on our way back to Dubai.
It was about 5:30 pm when we arrived after completing 425 km. Admittedly, it was a hot ride as the weather ranged from 35 to 45 Celsius during the day. Hot, like in weather...Hot, like in the ride...and Hot like in enjoyment. See the video of their tour.
