Shahid Kapoor suggested Kareena for 'Udta Punjab'
"Ex flames Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor made it to the headlines when it was learnt that they were set to star in Abhishek Choubey's 'Udta Punjab'.
Now it turns out that it may have been Shahid who suggested to Choubey to cast Kareena in the movie which is supposedly a thriller based on the drug abuse and drug mafia in Punjab. Speaking to a leading daily, the actor said that he respected Kareena as an actress and he was the first to suggest her name to the critically acclaimed director. "
