Not long ago, we told you about how Taco Bell was taking customer suggestions into account, and will start testing out delivery. Now, Chipotle is also getting in on the burrito-on-demand game, but in a much more free-range, hormone free (read:EXPENSIVE) way.
Chipotle doesn’t offer delivery services of its own, but they have decided to partner with third-party delivery outfit Postmates, which operates in 67 cities so far. Postmates operates a bit like the Uber of food delivery, where freelance drivers using their own cars pick up your order for you.
You’ll pay for the convenience though - calculations suggest that that $8 burrito will cost you $20 once service fees are incorporated. Apparently some people are willing to pay this laziness tax, though, because Postmates delivered more than a half million dollars worth of Chioptle in the first quarter of this year. So, someone’s coming out ahead!

Have you tried getting Chipotle delivered? How did it work out for you? Is this a valuable development from your perspective? Would you be willing to pay the extra money for the convenience of Burrito Bowl delivery? What restaurant do you wish offered delivery?
