Colombian campesinos are calling for measures to facilitate coca crop substitution. This comes on the heels of a decision by the Colombian government to halt the aerial spraying of glyphosate, a powerful chemical, on coca fields. The campesinos are demanding sustainable development projects as an alternative to coca production and that their opinions by taken into consideration before the government adopts any decisions.
