Ahmedabad: Affording the best in education for their children has burnt a hole in the pockets of many parents. "The yearly education expenses per kid in 10 years has reached to Rs.1.25 lakh from Rs.55,000 and the pre-school expenses have moved up to 75,000 from Rs.35,000", says a new survey conducted by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM). In the survey, as many as 1,600 working parents were interviewed and they said that their 50% of the salary are spent on the education of children.
