As part of agreements to end the strike by agricultural workers in Mexico's San Quintin Valley in the northwestern state of Baja California, Senator Angelica de la Peña announced that the 20 workers arrested by police last Saturday would be released and not charged with any crime. The workers will also be allowed to form a union. In Thursday's negotiations, a final agreement was still not reached on wage increases, one of the reasons the agricultural day laborers initially began their strike in late March. teleSUR
