A 19-year-old woman died when she swerved to avoid a dead kangaroo on the road and crashed into a tree in Guyra, Australia on Monday. It was reported that the woman was driving on Guyra-Ebor Road when she veered onto the opposite side of the road at about 7:20pm and collided with a tree. The driver died at the scene. Police revealed that the victim was a university student at The University of New England in Armidale. Her friend who was driving behind her witnessed the crash and was taken to a hospital as she suffered from shock.
The death was the second serious accident involving a kangaroo in one day.
