Syrian crisis: Pro-Israel lobby pushes Obama, US to war

Syria crisis: what will happen next? Will US President Barack Obama win congressional support for a military strike against the Syrian regime of Bashar Hafez al-Assad?

The Syrian crisis has produced some strange bedfellows in Washington DC. GOP stalwarts such casino mogul Sheldon Adelson now support President Barack Obama.

What the neo-cons, Shelly and Obama have in common is they all want to bomb the Assad regime.

Times have certainly changed since the last election cycle, when Sheldon Adelson spent nearly $100 million, first to support Newt Gingrich and then Mitt Romney as part of efforts to unseat Obama. But on the issue of Syria, Obama and Adelson hold similar positions.

The Syrian regime is allied with Iran. It's for this reason the pro-Israel lobby wants to strike Syria. They fear that if Assad isn't punished for using chemical weapons, Iran will feel emboldened and go nuclear on Israel. Adelson has described a second holocaust if Iranian ambitions are left unchecked.

In their respective publications, the neo-con media cabal Bret Stephens, Bill Kristol and Charles Krauthammer are calling for an all-out strike against Assad and his family.

The pro-Israel lobby always gets its way ... so the war against Syria is a foregone conclusion.

There is little you can do, Rand Paul. Pro-Israeli money runs Washington. Maybe that is why John McCain found time to player online poker on his mobile-phone.
