18 year police veteran Mohammed Deen was attacked outside a restaurant in Queens, New York, while his wife watched helplessly from their parked car. The 40-year-old was knocked to the ground and repeatedly kicked and punched - before being left unconscious on the street.
The altercation allegedly started in a nightclub about a mile away. The two apparently argued and left the club separately. Sometime later and about a mile away, Deen was getting a bite to eat a local restaruant when Holder spotted him. Not content to leave the argument alone, Holder then struck Deen from behind, knocking him out. Holder then continues beating the uncoincious body of Deen for about a minute, and at one point, beats on the glass of Deen's BMW where his wife is hiding from the attacker.
This scene plays out in front of shocked onlookers, who are yelling for Holder to stop his attack-- except for the man who is actually videotaping the attack. Instead of helping, phoning the paramedics, or showing some sort of concern, the videographer is commenting on how the video may become a hit on WorldStarHipHop.com, which is known to showcase neighborhood fight videos.
Sgt. Deen is in a medically induced coma at this time due to suffering severe head truama, and is listed in critical condition. Holder is in jail without bail, charged with attempted murder. The videographer's video has indeed gone viral, but many commenters are questioning why he chose to "laugh like a hyena, instead of trying to help."
