Kyle Howell says police beat him senseless for no reason. And the CCTV surveillance footage in this animation appears to be pretty clear.

We see cops, and yep, they sure do seem to be beating the crap out of someone.

Any chance this was justified?

Police in Nassau County New York say they pulled over 20-year-old Kyle Howell for driving with a cracked windshield.

Now cops say when they pulled Howell over, he had a baggie of weed which he tried to eat, as well as a baggie with cocaine residue.

Howell says all he did was reach for his paycheck that was about to fly out his car door.

In either case, though, it's hard to see why the beating we see in this video was needed.

Howell woke up in hospital with a broken nose, injured eyes and nerve damage.

Kyle Howell has begun legal action against the officers involved, saying he did nothing to deserve being beaten. He also alleges racial profiling.

Nassau police charged Howell with assaulting the officers, but the video of the incident might make that charge a bit tough to prove in court.
