48-year-old Rachel Lyne from England would never have expected her four week fling with 45-year-old plumber Richard Holman would end up a 7-year-long nightmare.

After Holman came to repair Lyne's dysfunctional boiler in 2007, the two clicked and started a relationship. But the new romance didn't last long, as one time Miss Lyne called to see where Holman was and his wife Amanda answered his phone.

Lyne quickly ended the relationship but parcels containing lingerie started arriving at her home and workplace.

Strange men even started turning up at her house expecting sexual services.

Her parents and neighbours even received letters saying she was a prostitute, drug dealer and a state-benefit cheat.

In 2011, Lyne decided to move to Cornwall, seeking a fresh start. Then one day she Googled herself and discovered hundreds of profiles under her name set up on numerous adult dating websites.

The police traced the profiles and found they were set up from Amanda Holman's IP address in Scorton, Lancashire.

The now divorced Holman couple were found guilty of harassment and have been jailed for 26 weeks each. The two jerks intend to appeal against their conviction.
