A Cleveland police officer has been charged with felony manslaughter along with five supervisors who are slapped with misdemeanor charges stemming from a 22 minute car chase 2 years ago.
The chase started when an officer thought he heard shots fired from a car driving across the street from the Justice Center. When it finally came to an end, it was a bloodbath. Officer Brelo was said to have stood on the hood of the suspects car dumping 49 rounds from his pistol.
In all, 13 officers fired a total of 137 shots at the vehicle. The occupants, Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams, never had a chance, as they were unarmed.
Officer Brelo faces 2 counts of felony manslaughter which if found guilty, comes with mandatory jail time.
