This dramatic police dash cam footage shows the moment a Texas police officer arrived just in time to save a woman from an oncoming train.
Richmond Police Officer Ramon Morales was flagged down by a citizen around 1 a.m. on Sunday and was told a woman was sitting on the tracks at a railroad crossing.
He arrived just as the crossing arms were going down and dragged the woman to safety.
Morales, a former Marine who has been with the department for 10 months, can be seen holding the woman down with one arm to stop her from running toward the train while he uses his radio.
Richmond Police Department Sergeant L. Neinast told KPRC Click2Houston News that later the woman in the video, "asked him if he's the one that pulled her off the tracks and he said, 'Yes I am of course.' She said, 'Why did you do that?' He was a little shaken up over the circumstances. I think even more so after he saw the video realizing how close it was. He's a hero. He went way above and beyond the call of duty to save someone else's life."
Morales has refused multiple requests from news outlets for interviews.
The woman was taken to the hospital for an assessment.
