Ronald Lee Haskell has been charged with multiple counts of capital murder in connection with the shooting of seven people, in Spring, Texas, Wednesday evening.
Haskell, 33, was on the hunt of his estranged ex-wife Melanie, when he showed up at the door of his ex-sister-in-law's house. It was here where he shot five children and two adults, leaving only one, a 15-year-old girl, alive.
The gunman left the mass shooting and headed for the home the teen's grandparents. The brave girl played dead until Haskell left, then quickly called 911 to alert police.
Houston police chased the gunman and threw spike strips at his vehicle. This eventually lead to the dramatic conclusion of a lengthy police standoff. Haskell, after almost 4 hours surrendered, turning himself over to police.
