A stalker broke into a teenage girl's bedroom and hid under her bed all night after sending a text message that said, "I'm watching you," a court in Chester, England heard.
Kyle Ravenscroft, 18, sent frightening text messages to his victim and was found under her bed the next morning. Ravenscroft sent messages saying he was "in the grounds" of her Chester residence and was "watching her."
He also threatened to hang himself outside her bedroom window so she would wake up and see his dead body.
The teenage girl found Ravenscroft hiding under her bed the next morning after she had a feeling she was being watched and starting checking her room.
His 16-year-old victim was home with her mother on July 3 when she was sent a series of creepy text messages by Ravenscroft.
She was freaked out by the texts so she slept in her mother's room on the second floor and not in her first floor room. Before she fell asleep, he texted her, "I'm in your house."
The next morning she went back to her room and was sitting on her bed talking on the phone when she sensed someone was watching her.
She eventually discovered Ravenscroft under her bed. Her mother entered the room and yelled at him to leave, but not before he stole the girl's phone.
When police arrived at Ravenscroft's home, he fled, but later turned himself in. He was released on bail, but then rearrested when he tried to give a letter to the victim at her job.
