A few stray cats are a common sight in this friendly community in New Taipei City, Taiwan, where the local residents will feed the strays and have even sent them to the vet to get fixed.

But last Saturday, a cat was found abused and ditched at this car park. Luckily, a local resident found it alive and quickly sent it to the hospital. Unexpectedly, another cat was found the very next day, tied up and burned to death in the same car park.

Alarmed and outraged, local residents called the police and put up a wanted note.

According to the New Taipei City Animal Protection Office, a case of animal cruelty like this can be be punished with imprisonment for less than a year, and a fine of up to US$17,000. Lets hope they catch the sicko!
