The Islamic State released a video on Tuesday in which fighters are shown burning to death a Jordanian pilot the militant group had been holding hostage since December.
The heavily-edited and overly produced video, released through social media and dubbed "Healing of the Believers' Chests", depicts the brutal death of Lt. Muath al-Kasesbeh, who was captured after his aircraft crashed over Syria.
The 22-minute, 34 second video shows a bruised al-Kasasibah discussing Jordan's military operations in a faux-news broadcast
and ends with him standing in a cage as he's burned alive by ISIS fighters.
The video concludes with ISIS placing bounties of 100 Gold Dinars on the heads of Jordanian pilots participating in the U.S.-led bombing campaign against the extremist group while publicizing their addresses.
Even by ISIS' twisted standards, this shocking death, which Jordanian authorities believe happened a month ago, may just represent their most barbaric execution yet.
