U.S. customs agents arrested a man they caught attempting to smuggle roughly a pound of cocaine stuffed in his underwear in mid-April, according to a Pix11 report.
The man, a Jamaican citizen, was spotted after attempting to pass through security at John F. Kennedy International Airport on April 16 with the, quite literal, butt-ton of cocaine.
Romario Lewis "exhibited numerous signs of nervousness", which is what tipped officials off, according to the report.
When they took him aside, they uncovered two bricks of cocaine stuffed in his "groin area".
The total value of these package-enhancing packages: $19,000, according to DEA stats cited by Pix11.
"This seizure is another example of our CBP officers being ever vigilant in protecting the United States from the distribution of illicit drugs," said Robert E. Perez, Director of CBP's New York Field Operations, according to the TV station.
Lewis was promptly arrested and now faces federal narcotics smuggling charges for his failed scheme.
