Mexico: Police Violent Repress San Quintin Farmworkers

Mexican police have been violently repressing farm workers in San Quintin in the northwestern state of Baja California. Two days ago, three farm workers were killed and on Saturday police repression left 70 injured. The union is demanding medical attention for those injured and the release of 14 workers detained on Saturday. The struggle of the San Quintin farm workers for an increase in their rock-bottom salaries, has had repercussions throughout Mexico and among labor activists in the United States. teleSUR
