Ahmedabad: The World Health Organisation (WHO) has set 8th of May as the World Thalassemia Day. Studies indicate that in India, there are around 3 crore carriers of beta thalassemia gene. In Gujarat and Ahmedabad, more than 8000 and 200 are suffering from thalassemia major respectively. Now, people have turned towards Ayurvedic treatment and have seen result.
