Aamir Khan‘s last release certainly shattered all the records at the box office. While there were majority of people who were going gaga about the Rajkumar Hirani directorial, there were some who accused the movie of hurting religious sentiments.
However, everyone associated with the film chose to keep mum on the controversies, until today.
Yes, Aamir along with Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra launched the DVD of PK today. And it is during this that Aamir finally spoke on the ripples that the film created. In fact, he even went on to apologise for hurting feelings of people, who found the film offensive.
Aamir said, “Clearly the film has been loved by the majority and I am very happy about it. But it really hurts me when I hurt the feelings of anyone through my films. It’s okay for someone to not like the film, but I can say that our intention was not to hurt anyone’s feelings. We just wanted to say something which is highly important. But even if one individual is hurt after watching the film then I am really sorry.”
However, at a later point the talented actor also went on to explain his apology. “I completely stand by what we have said in the film, I just apologised for hurting someone, because that was not our intention. We all have different opinions and everyone has the right to have an opinion. I’ll still say to all those offended people to watch the film again and try to understand that what we wanted to say in it.”
