These live critically endangered yellow-crested cockatoos were stuffed and crammed into plastic bottles by a smuggler ready to transport them by sea out of Indonesia. Indonesian police caught the smuggler red handed when he attempted to traffic over 20 of the rare birds out of the country from the Port of Tanjung Perak in Surabaya. The birds were cut free by the police officers who then handed them over to a vet to receive medical attention.
