Thousands of cops are expected to join the family and friends of slain Officer Brian Moore for a Thursday wake and Friday funeral on Long Island. The Bethpage Fire Department had already draped a giant American flag between two tower truck ladders Tuesday before the arrival of the 25-year-old cop’s body at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home. Demetrius Blackwell faces a charge of first-degree murder in last Saturday’s fatal shooting. Several family members left the home in a van early Tuesday without speaking. Moore, after a two-day fight for his life, passed away Monday. His father, ex-Sgt. Raymond Moore, was among the crowd saluting his son as the officers stood attention while the body was brought out of Jamaica Hospital.
