Officials in the Gaza Strip indicated that electric power might have to be reduced to less than six hours a day in the beleaguered Palestinian enclave. The local power company indicated they were running out of the fuel aid necessary to produce electricity and will be unable to meet local demand. In what has been the worst electricity crisis in the area's history, power outages have reached 18 hours a day.
