The nationwide teachers strike in Colombia has entered its fourth day, with hundreds of thousands protesting in the streets of the country's capital. The indefinite strike was called to demand a salary hike, as teachers wages are the lowest in the public sector, and improved working conditions, especially in rural areas where educational infrastructure is notoriously deficient.
