En today’s edition, first we travel to Cuba where we hear the story of Hector Manuel, whose mother’s travels have taken him away from Cuba several times. The boy always decided to return home, but not without complications, which may be avoided in the future due to the passage of a new migration law that allows emigrants to return to live in Cuba with no problems. Then it’s on to Uruguay, where the small town of San Gregorio de Polanco has become an open museum that is famous for its murals painted by adults and children alike. Our last stop is the biggest slum area in Africa –Kibera—located on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya. Here, Douglas Nmale strives to present a new outlook on more than 400,000 people who live in its tin shacks.
