On Sunday Mexico marked the seven-month anniversary of the kidnapping and forced disappearance of the 43 Ayotzinapa teacher training college students. A new round of protests was held in Mexico City demanding that the case be reopened, given that the version that drug cartels killed the students is widely disbelieved. Demonstrations in the southern state of Guerrero, where the students were originally attacked and disappeared, turned violent, as protesters fought police and burned cars. teleSUR
