After being asked if it was ‘Ok to kill a 7-pound baby,’ Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz had quite the baffling response. After steamrolling through her talking points of abortion being a decision to be made between a woman and her doctor, things got weird.
Before long, she was asking if 2016 presidential hopeful Rand Paul was “going to let a woman die.”
For those unaware, Wasserman Schultz and Paul have been in a sort of back and forth lately regarding clarification on abortion. As Paul seems reluctant to answer if an abortion ban should have exemptions (rape/incest), Wasserman Schultz won’t answer when life actually begins in the womb.
