Receiving a delegation from the Conference of European Rabbis for the first time on Monday, Pope Francis has warned about mounting anti-Semitism.
He also condemned violence against Christians.
The Pope’s meeting with the Rabbis follows the death on Sunday night of Rome’s former chief rabbi Elio Toaff, 99 – a pivotal player in Christian-Jewish reconciliation.
